Round 6: Interview with Dave Hause from The Loved Ones.

220px-The_Loved_Ones_EPSandra: „I first discovered Mr. Hause when he played with Chuck Ragan, Brian Fallon and Dan Andriano on the Revival Tour in Dublin in 2011.
He walked on stage, began to sing and totally stole the show. His voice and the utter silence while he was singing the first few songs caused goosebumps. You could tell that most of the crowd had not heard of him before the show, but Dave would make sure they would most certainly not forget him afterwards.
And when he was back in Ireland only a year later to support Social Distortion, the crowd knew every word to every song. This truly has been his year, and it couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy.

Dave Hause is a hardworking musician that plays honest punk rock with a passion. And also one of the friendliest and kindest guys I have ever met.
His lyrics are timeless and heartfelt and his solo record „Resolutions“ quickly became the soundtrack to my year.“

Round 5: Interview with Dave Hause from The Loved Ones.

bdd29bd8f.16040119,1Felix (Flix Records): „When I was 17 or 18 years old I was into a band called The Explosion who mixed Hardcore with poppy Punkrock music and a great aesthetics when it came to album artwork and merchandise. The jazz around the band was interesting to me and so I came across Dave Hause when he filled in for the band right after Sam Cave left the band. Sam was responsible for the „Flash Flash Flash“ album and I was bummed that he left the band. However, I checked out Dave’s other bands like The Curse and Paint It Black later and thought they were all amazing. These were the bands that got me to Hardcore acts like Kid Dynamite.
When The Loved Ones first CD came out on Fat Wreck I was excited to see that Dave is not only a good song writer but can actually write hit songs like „Jane“. I met Dave for the first time last year in Stuttgart and was happy to work with him on a small 7 Inch project with his solo project & The Cobra Skulls for my label Flix Records. Dave was on so many great tours, festivals and released so many fantastic records on every god label out there in 2012 so I hope that 2013 will be his year. He deserves it!“

North Alone about Dave Hause: „I play a Gibson J45 which is called „The workhorse“. This name would also be perfect for Dave. Beside the great songs he’s writing and the powerful shows he’s playing he is a very nice guy without any rock star attitude. I met him supporting him at one of the solo shows during the Gaslight Anthem tour and he gave me very much respect for being a musician like him and not like being just a small unknown support act. „

Round 2: Interview with Dave Hause from The Loved Ones.

Frank Turner about Dave Hause:I met Dave when I was on tour with Gaslight in the USA and he was playing with The Loved Ones. We became firm friends. He’s something of a maniac, very good at causing trouble if he puts his mind to it. But he’s a sweetheard, and a wise man.

Round 1: Interview with Dave Hause from The Loved Ones.

Dave Hause, Lippstadt

„Don’t be nervous! It’s just a conversation.“ And I thought: „Yes, that’s true, Mr. Hause! But my problem is: It will be my first interview- in English!“ With Dave Hause from The Loved Ones! I mean..he is an amazing musician and his songs mean a lot to me! Especially „C’mon kid„. Last year I’ve seen 17 of his concerts and each one of them was full of emotions, fun, energy and goose bumps. He is a perfect entertainer- not only on stage. He really loves what he does. A talented person, who deserves all the best! In the last year he was like the Road Runner: faster than anyone else! There were lots of solo- and supportshows for The Gaslight Anthem, Laure Jane Grace or The Bouncing souls. Life on the fast lane.

Wie lief denn eigentlich die Tour von…

Gaslight in Berlin.

… The Gaslight Anthem, Dave Hause & Blood Red Shoes? Puh. Fucking Hell. Alles mitnehmen, was geht!
